Paul can you please ask the guest what has helped them?

Post by JasonsJason »

I've listened to every episode now and I just wish Paul had went into what has helped the guests the most in healing themselves. I noticed a lot of them have said how much better they are doing and they mention the therapy and group meet-ups as a tool but I feel like were missing out on some great advice. What helped them overcome their problems the most? What is one thing they remember that their therapist told them that really changed their outlook on it all? Paul could you ask your guest something along the lines of this? I know you can word it more poignantly than I. Thank you for all you are doing here.

YES! Tips please! It's great that guests and Paul talk about therapy, but until a doctor actually says go do this, go do that, as a Canadian and someone on assistance I really can't just go seek out specific therapy styles and still have it covered by insurance. The specific publicly funded plan I'm on has lots of barriers to getting treatments for mental illness (EMDR for example). So any life hacks people have found that don't involve doctors and therapy types would be super helpful. Even if the suggestions are out there and not in the main stream, if they are helpful and most important: CHEAP by all means discuss things with guests that help them feel better.

Thank you for your thoughts. In the meantime check out the three part guest blog by DP. He talks a lot about how he developed the tools to deal. There are only two parts up right now.
