Paycheck to paycheck: I have a plan (ongoing)

Post by oak »

Hi friends.

This morning my car was running super rough, and check engine lights (that I've ignored) were on.

I have a problem.

A persona finance problem. I am living paycheck to paycheck. I don't want to go on like this.

Here is my preliminary plan:

1. Get help.
2. Earn more.
3. Save more.

What I've done so far:

Help:

1. I'm waiting on the line with my work EAP.

Earn more:

1. I emailed my boss to request my overdue annual review

Updates soon! Thanks for listening. I feel better already.

Hey!

I just wanted to say two things:

1. I have a problem with my personal finances.

There, I said it!

There is much more I want to say, but that will have to suffice for now.

I have a problem with my personal finances.

2. Thank you for letting me share here.

This forum has been a great help to me in the last 6.5 years.

Frequently this is the only place I can come to express myself.

While the internet (or more precisely "the web") became popular when I was 18. I wonder how we got by with out forums like this, or podcasts. I suppose generations of people went to their graves, thinking they were alone.

The internet is a mixed blessing to be sure. But this is a happy little corner.
