Living my life, saying goodbye to some of my highest aspirations that have no relationship to my capabilities or my ability to control my focus or my reality of life in crisis mode.

I am gutted that i may not leave behind any intellectual accomplishment that will survive my death.

(not really gutted, that is an exaggeration)

the above has the benefit of letting my live more in the moment, don't have pointless fantasies distracting me

there are many super-cool people in my life, and i can show up for them, this is rad

wish me well on my new adventure, this new chapter of my life

I don’t know if this is helpful but here goes.

Absolutely let go of your intellectual pursuits.

However, letting go is not automatically saying goodbye.

Some things you let go of are going to drift a short distance and then stop. You don’t have to hold them tightly. You can just pick up where you left when you’re ready.

Indeed some pursuits are actually waiting for you to let go of them before they come to life.

That’s part of the story in any case.

Good luck!

There is no better time for you to begin your new adventure:

In addition to “there’s no time like the present”, we also have a new year, and perhaps most importantly a long-tail winding down of a once in a lifetime pandemic.

In this particular case I happen to be feeding you links from the mindful course I’m doing; links available on the web that is.

Hi Beany,

it was very helpful to know about mindfulness that the point is not to eliminate judgement (almost impossible) but to decide not to make judgements about judgements.

Thanks, Beany
