2nd vaccine plus 5 days; ice water/AC.

Hi friends. Two quicks things:

1. I finally feel nearly myself five days after my second Pfizer shot. I'm still a little feverish and "off".

I commit here to contact my doctor if I don't feel fine by Friday (one week from vaccine).

btw, it appears society is reopening, specifically my beloved swing dancing. I intend to go back to martial arts next week, and go to the mall to see the pretty girls in ten days.

2. I am astonished at how much my mental health relies on turning on the AC and having ice water ready.

Maybe this is a matter of getting older: I don't remember the heat/humidity bothering until last year.

At any rate, I am not toying with my mental health. I need to stay cool.

Just got my 2nd Moderna shot yesterday, arm sore today, hope I make it through with minimal side effects

It's good that you are aware of your need for AC and ice water. It is something simple you can do to take care of yourself.

I just got my second Pfizer today, we'll see...

Hydration - very important. What are we, 60% liquid or so?
And excess heat and humidity are a real drain.... At least a week or so during the summer, wow.
When the rugs are buckling and the wallpaper is curling...

Since my last post I've:

Registered for a swing dance weekend in Oct
Registered for a four-week Zumba class this summer
Reached out to one of my professional mentors to meet for lunch
Started trauma counselor with a new counselor. She seems very good, and we're likely to build up to EMDR by the time we're all back into the office

I'm technically not fully vaccinated for a few more days, so I'm limiting getting out.

I think these next few months could be the most wonderful time of our lives: finally getting back out. Safely, but getting out.
