There was a day,
Unlike any other.
Equaled, it cannot be.
All of eternity will never forget it,
All of the creation blazed to-wards it.
Sun was brilliant- everywhere,
Smiling from the blue.
Air was crisp, peaceful, strong
Pushing Clouds along.
Leaves sway, seduced by breeze
Plants stretch and grow, reaching for the light
Small Animals play
Children explore
On God's beloved,
Today.

I am lonely. I am sad, but,
I see a person in the distance.
Not someone I know, but someone with gentle eyes.
Eyes that smile,eyes that whisper "you are not alone"
"I want to share my happiness, I have so much to share"
My sadness is drifting away, loneliness turns to hopefulness
I can see, can feel, that when we meet the walls will come down.
The light that is life grows when two people learn from each other.
Life will become a little richer & the darkness of this place will weaken.
I am relieved. My pace quickens, I know it is near. But we are so close now.
This time I will sneak past you. I will learn from my new friend how to be happy.
My happiness, my life light, will scare you away forever. I will be alive, I will feel life!
You approach me again, you walk straight towards me & I'm nervous now. Please don't come closer, please don't come closer.
Stay behind it friend, it only wants me. It only ever comes for me. It only wants to hurt me.
I extend my hand to my new friend before it is too late, you stand between us but we try.
My new friend isn't afraid of you, my friend's hand is so far extended, we try but,
But you are in my face again. Your gnarled teeth, lips dripping wretched saliva.
The stench of devoured souls wafts from your mouth and is sickening, I shrink.
Your growls are defeaning to me. Your eyes are black dots, I can't help but-
to stare in to them, their emptiness is a vacuum & I am powerless.
You are sucking the spirit from my body again-from my life again
My body still breathes, my heart still beats- faster & faster
Your presence in my face has reduced me to slivers of myself
You have done it again- I see my friend right behind you.
But they can't see me. I can't see me. There's only you.
Just like you wanted. 'Stolen is another chance to
Grow my soul, to be with life to make a new
friend who stands right behind you but,
I'm reduced and now There's only you.
My body's still breathing the air.
My heart is still pushing blood.
But you have stolen more life.
'Stolen more pieces of soul.
My new friend now has gone,
You got what you wanted.
I have to turn and run.
Another part of soul's
gone. Another chance
for growth gone.
I walk alone.
It's darker-
than ever.
