My fear list...

- I'm afraid that my dad will get diagnosed with a terminal illness and because he and my step mom are so codependent, they will both commit suicide together

- I'm afraid that Donald Trump will have such a profound negative impact on American politics that it will be forever changed for the worse after this and the bar will be forever lowered for our country's expectations of civility and humanity

- I'm afraid someone will leave my door open some day and my cat will get out and be eaten by a coyote

- I'm afraid I will never meet someone that I can fully trust and feel safe in their arms

- I'm afraid I will be single forever and eventually I will take in all the stray cats and stop doing my hair and walk around the neighborhood in a robe

- I'm afraid of the toxic friendships I've left behind over the past few years - afraid they will come back and be angry with me, or worse, someone might want to rekindle a friendship

- I'm afraid someone will come into my house while i'm taking a shower and assault me

- I'm afraid of identity theft and that one day I will just suddenly have an empty bank account and debt up to my eyeballs because someone decided to buy a car and go to the Caribbean and buy fake boobs on my dime

- I'm afraid someone will come up with the technology to search my porn history, even though I always delete it and clear my cookies and everything else I can think of to erase it

- I'm afraid of crowds of drunk people. They make me feel very unsafe. I worry that someone will start fighting or driving drunk or assaulting a woman.

- I'm afraid of becoming complacent in my job and, over time, experiencing degrading skills and knowledge

- I'm afraid of yellow snow and, since we're talking about snow, I'm afraid of avalanches

- I'm afraid of spinal cord injuries

- I'm afraid of what staring at an electronic screen all day is doing to kids' developing brains

- I'm afraid of my next therapy session - we're talking about shameful events in my life

- I'm afraid of the wasp nest outside my bedroom window that I can't seem to get control of, even with professional help

- I'm afraid of what my body will look like as I age...and what health problems are down the road
