I love my loves

Post by Nevina »

I love hospitals. I love being nurtured while my only responsibility is to lie there and get well.

I love the first day in spring that it's warm enough to go outside without a coat on.

I love my grey and white hairs. They sparkle so I look like I have glitter in my hair.

I love making lasagna and stroganoff.

I love when music makes me suddenly burst out crying.

I love being retweeted by a favorite celebrity, or receiving a reply from them.

I love drifting in and out of dreams for hours.

I love my violin teacher (but he must never know).

I love when a new music album suddenly 'clicks' and I fall in love with it after several listens.

I love listening to a new album for the first time in a quiet room with good headphones.

I love when my cats lay on my chest and put their paws on my chin.

I love storms with warm rain and high winds.

I love having the house to myself.

I love the hope and pride that appear when I am productive.

I love when men feel comfortable crying.

I love the first sip of a good latte.

I love the smell of early morning autumn in the Pacific Northwest. I dubbed it "the slug smell" as a child.

I love books and movies that bring me to tears.

I love how silky-soft my hair is after I wash it.

I love coincidences.

I love lucid dreaming.

I love when I am so distracted from my mental chatter that I am fully present in the moment. It's precious because it is so very rare.
When life gives you shit, make shitade.

Lots of good ones!! I love that I know exactly what you mean by "the slug smell."
