NEED HELP ASAP
We found used and unused needles in my brothers room, we think he's using heroin and need to get in contact with a counseler or an intervention specialist. We live close to LA, located in the Inland Empire. My brother did not admit to heroin use but said he was injecting some type of opioid that is "safer" into his back. Does anyone have any idea what that might be? Please please if anyone has any good recommendations for someone who can help us please message me or post

Being in/near LA, a google search gave me a HUGE list of resources in your area.
I'd honestly encourage you start by finding an AA or NA meeting. Go in, talk to them, tell them what's going on, and they'll have an intimate knowledge of what places in the area are worth your time. They'll give you perspective on how to deal with the situation from the viewpoint of someone who's been an active addict and from someone who is in recovery trying to help another active addict.
