Re: Longest period of NOT bathing? Let the games begin!

Ah yes oak, I completely zoned out on the shaving. I hate it as I can grow a beard in ten minutes and shaving is like weed-eating a field of tall grass! You are 100% correct that is the first to be ignored. And Cheldoll, you hit it right about body acclimation. We get set in patterns and our body st...

Re: Morning, Noon, Night - when is it the worst?

Interesting, but not at all surprising to me. I experience anxiety 24/7, but now trying to temporarily live in this tiny apartment after 15 years away from them can be intense. It also ramps up my OCD to crazy levels. I relate to the check - recheck - check again and then continue to question myself...

Longest period of NOT bathing? Let the games begin!

Obviously not the most enjoyable topic, but one that seems to effect most if not all of us suffering from emotional/mental challenges. It is unsettling what various forms of depression can do to us and the life style changes we can unfortunately adapt to - like not caring about personal hygiene or a...

Morning, Noon, Night - when is it the worst?

Just curious about when your anxiety challenges you the most? It has changed over the last three years from dread as I would crawl into what I called the torture device (bed) knowing I was in for another long struggle with restlessness to now actually resting a bit through the early morning hours on...

Re: Benzos have ruined my brain?

Hey Died1000deaths,
What are your symptoms and mental condition(s)?
I have gathered a ton of information and found some helpful sites that might steer you in a less painful direction in your journey to stop lorazepam.

Re: Benzos have ruined my brain?

I continue to struggle. I don't have the mental strength to type out all the challenges faced since my last post, but I am doing what I can to stay safe and attempt to keep my head above water. I still experience lingering side effects from the benzo after almost 2.5 years cold turkey. I have resear...

Re: Situational Depression adding to the torment

Thank you for the reply fifthsonata, Your story is indeed intense and I am grateful you got the hell outta there and into a safer environment. I know all too well about that situation. After a scary night of toxic arguing with my father and wanting to harm him, I woke up the next morning and started...

Situational Depression adding to the torment

I have suffered my entire life with many personal issues stemming from a abusive family. I am a adult child of a alcoholic family. I have done the best to manage my pain and forge onward in life and it has been incredibly difficult or so it seemed. Just when I thought I had things stable, I experien...

Re: Benzos have ruined my brain?

I truly believe that my brain is damaged and now in the last 9 months I have experienced multiple body issues and complications. I am at the edge and it is becoming unbearable. I have tried so many things and now with the situational depression, I can't cope. Suicide hotline has helped, but it was s...

Another warm ladle of awkward & icky please

I am curious as to when the most difficult part of the day is for you? For me it is early morning and the beginning of yet another day when my "icky meter" is registering an (8) :o I was once an early riser and took great joy in seeing the sunrise and a new day begin, but the last couple y...
