Re: No Hope

Sending some love to you muaddib87 I JUST posted my feelings about friendships that echos what you have written, you are definitely not alone. I am sincerely sorry that you are in such pain. Can relate to that hollow, sinking feeling of being a problem and a failure. So much so. There is hope though...

Friendship Follies

This isn't so much a "do others feel this way" as me wanting to hear your stories about difficulties with friendships. I feel like I've always struggled with friendships. I used to blame it on the fact that I moved countries 4 times by the time I was 10 years old. Always coming in after ot...

Re: Are you envious of happy people

Weird Shanarchy... just yesterday on my way home I saw a girl with larger thighs like mine wearing REALLY short shorts. The first thought that popped into my head was... "Why don't I have the 'balls' to do that? Why do I feel like I CAN'T wear something like that? She's rocking them, why couldn...

Re: Top of underwear/pants folded in half and the like

May sound strange but I have to credit "What Not to Wear" with helping me with the "size" issue. I still get bummed out when I grab an XL shirt and it doesn't fit, but my brain is now able to just grab all the sizes around my "usual" size and try them on. I still get up...

Fantastic Oak! Glad to hear. And I totally relate about your story at the end. Sometimes we just need that moment to get the frustration out of our brain before we can look at it and go... wait, it wasn't that bad at all!

Re: Social Anxiety Sufferers Welcome!

I also figured out in the last few years that I have some issues with Social Anxiety... In my early 30's now. Most people would say, "Pshhh no you don't, you are always talking to people when you're out!" Ah yes, I might be - but what you don't know is that I've barely eaten anything all d...

Re: Episode 112 - Social Worker Ray

Such an important guest to have, and I hope he is a true representation of what most CPS workers are like. Growing up in the small town/area that I did, I saw instances of people having their kids taking away as well as some that should have had them taken. It was brutal to hear/see some of the situ...

Re: Episode 113: Lynn Chen

I hope others would agree - we're not here to listen to an interview, we're here for the conversation. If Paul wasn't sharing it would certainly be quite the one-sided conversation, like an interview, it's great the way it is! I completely relate to a lot of the binge eating. Figured out years ago t...

Ouch. That one hit deep.
