Re: When fate avenges you, but it's overkill

I do not believe in right and wrong feelings. I believe there are feelings that help move us toward our potential, feelings that hold us back, and feelings that are felt too strongly (aka beyond what the situation entails). Yet, ALL these feelings are valid. Also it is not weird that you still have ...

Re: Frozen in place/fear of success

Thanks for sharing. I was just chatting with a friend about this, and came up with the following. I'm interested to hear your thoughts: I was a "wonderful" child - very smart, and creative, but if I fucked up, I was punished hard and in a arbitrarily ...I think I don't know how to deal wit...

Frozen in place/fear of success

It seems that every time I am about to make a significant leap in my career, I freeze. I start ignoring responsibilities, spending too much time online, and my time management skills go down the toilet. I have such a want to succeed, but constantly sabotage myself - not the point of burning bridges ...

Re: Homeopathic Meds as an Alternative to Western Meds

It could be that your anxiety was a bounce back effect of coming off medication - when you quit a med, the symptoms can initially come back extremely strong, but taper off. Have you considered that maybe it isn't supplements at all, but you have just learned to cope without meds? There is some proof...

Re: sexually transmitted infections...

Herpes panic was created by drug companies. Before there was a drug to treat it, herpes was just an annoyance of sexually active people, like oral Herpes, which 90% of the human population has (It is essentially the exact same virus). It wasn't until the drug companies created ad campaigns shaming p...

Re: Turning into a slut

There is nothing wrong with being a slut. If A guy posted the same thing, there would be no stigma. Although it can be easier for men to separate sex and emotions, it does not mean that women do not have just as strong sex drives and desires. So the first step is to give yourself permission to explo...

Re: Need some advice

Sounds like you two have a really great physical connection, but he there is too much conflict when it comes down to the everyday stuff that makes a long term relationship work. Because of the conflict he feels (liking you, but not wanting a future with you), he is holding back because he probably c...

Re: Letting anyone in

That sounds like quite the burden. I am sorry if I was presumptuous. The only support I can give you is to wish that you find peace with yourself. Whatever the reason may be, whether it's psychological, biological, neurological, etc., you are different from other people. I hope that you learn to app...

Re: Sexual Anxiety (I guess that's what it's called)

Substanceless - although Fredbo is one hundred percent correct in that rushing it is not the answer, and I am SO glad you feel a little better about not being ready, some of what you described is way way more than standard anxiety. You describe something that sounds more like a phobia, more than jus...
