Re: Recovery Record

I've never heard of Recovery Record, but I used My Fitness Pal for a while, just as a log to prove to my doctor that I was eating like I was supposed to. I think it's fine for tracking as long as you don't join any of the message boards or add people. There's such an emphasis on exercise and weight ...

Re: Top of underwear/pants folded in half and the like

Yeah, my sister (a tiny former gymnast) refuses to stay at my house because the only mirror I have is the tiny one on the medicine cabinet that's just big enough to see your face in, but that's about it. She can't believe I wouldn't have a full length mirror.

Re: Love list

I love Henry Rollins. Any time he is speaking anywhere near me, I find a way to go. I've talked to him a few times and emailed him as well, and he's not kidding when he says he responds to every email. It's just really nice to see someone who genuinely appreciates his fans.

Re: Love list

I took my son to see it in 3D, he loved it, but every time someone asked him how it was he'd say "It was great but mom got weird and cried about a dinosaur" and I have no defense because I totally got weird and cried about a dinosaur.

Re: Top of underwear/pants folded in half and the like

Been there too. "You couldn't possibly be purging and still be as overweight as you are." Meanwhile I've had 5 teeth pulled due to excessive corrosion and am on multiple antacids to stop the corrosion/scarring of my esophagus. But no, you're totally right, doc, I'm way too fat to have a pr...

Oh I know, jeans with 5% spandex are the one of the greatest inventions of all time. They also save a ton of money if you yo-yo, that little bit of stretch means not having to buy new jeans as often.

Love list

I love when my son skypes me to tell me he loves me, even though he's only 10 feet away. I love when my dog lays on the couch with me and puts her head on my leg to sleep. I love peeling the sticky plastic off of new electronics and knowing they will never be as clean as they are right now. I love c...

Re: Top of underwear/pants folded in half and the like

I see your eroded thighs (when I started having that problem I thought I could patch those holes... you cannot) and raise you pants with broken zippers because you couldn't button them but you could half way zip them and fold the top inside and call it good enough. Zippers are not load bearing, they...

Re: Humiliating Moments

Sure.. here goes... I don't mind sharing here that my last name is the name of a very famous pig. As a chubby kid who grew into a fat adult, that was the eternal well for bullies. Middle school was the worst. There was a small group of boys who got most of our class to call me Fatty McFatpants. Not ...

Re: Fear of Fainting in Public

I do understand. I don't have a fear of fainting in those situations, but they definitely trigger my anxiety. At large intersections I'm terrified I'm going to go at the wrong time and cause an accident, or not go when I'm supposed to and make the people behind me angry. Similarly, in large crowds, ...
