Re: Thanksgiving sibling seethings: religion/politics/class.
I know every situation is different, but in recent years I've found myself routinely getting a bit worked up about the prospect of heated political disagreements at family holiday gatherings only to find that the subject of politics itself almost never even comes up at all, let alone creates a big s...

Re: Some of my intrusive thoughts
I've been struggling with this recently as well. Always seems to hit me hardest when I am depressed (like, properly depressed). I worry that my lack of interest in things and whatnot automatically means that I'll end up killing myself. And these thoughts make me absolutely petrified. It makes me sad...

Re: This is my stuff I have created
I sampled some of the music. I enjoyed the vibe of it. I like things with darker, dramatic, and heavier qualities so it was cool IMO. I don't have an e-reader so I couldn't sample the books. But overall I have to say you should be very proud that you even completed these things and released them for...

Re: Hello all!
I suppose an update is in order. In the past half year since my issues in November, things have definitely been better overall. I have been doing well at work (I've always performed well but I'm back to being comfortable again most of the time) and I've also branched out socially a little bit more. ...

Yeah I'm getting a nagging feeling of it as well. <hug>
It's not dragging me down too much but it's occupying more of my thoughts than I would like.

Re: Should i or not?
Is the work itself a source of stress or is it just a fear of getting back into the swing? I've missed work with anxiety/depression a couple times, and despite the looming fears about returning, I found it very helpful. It feels nice to get a nice, normal day under your belt after a bad spell. It's ...

Re: How do you build healthy habits with anxiety/depression?
Right on. Just a brisk walk can be helpful. I usually listen to music/podcasts to help occupy my mind. The only real concern (if you're going to do anything even slightly intense) is that you should stretch. It's bad enough being tense, but if you do much without loosening up you might get stiffness...

A helpful, reverse perspective?
This mostly applies to anxious/obsessive thinking but I think it can be generally applied to any negative thoughts in general (depression). I first posted here about 3 weeks ago and I was in a hell of a rut. Since then I've had buspar added to my medication and I've started therapy again for the fir...
