This worked for me
My anxiety is no longer controlled with Zoloft after I weaned myself off a year and a half ago. It was very difficult, but it was important for me to do it. My anxiety has decreased a lot over the months as I do the work needed. But last week I had a rough time with panic attacks and crippling fears...

Now that I'm a professional...
I'm sure this is a common problem, but I needed a safe place to vent. I am now a health professional in Naturopathy. I have put in the time and passed the exams and done the grueling work. My family and friends still treat me like nothing has changed. They pat me on the head and brag to their friend...

The depression is comparatively soothing...
Depression and I have been hanging out on and off for so long, that it's more like having one of those exasperating friends. And the depression is comparatively soothing after a few hours of unnecessary anxiety. I'm getting pretty tired of being a grown up...

Re: Inspiring TED talk on depression
Kevin Breel talked a lot about the stigma. I am not afraid that people will think less of me if I discuss my depression, I'm afraid they will worry. You just can't unsay, "Feelin' like offin' myself today!" It's a huge burden to place on someone, so I just keep quiet...

Comes in waves, like nausea...
Since weaning myself off of a 20 year dependency on antidepressants, I still go through episodes of depression, but they are fewer and shorter. It's been nine months since I stopped fully taking meds (for various reasons) and getting to know myself again has been difficult. It's been like an arrange...
