Re: Adderall Conversation
My pdoc and I have been tinkering with my doses and for the past year it's been really good for me. For a total dose of 90mg/day broken into: Adderall IR 30mg: 1/2-1 tab upon rising Adderall XR 30mg: 1 cap at 11am Adderall IR 30mg: 1/2-1 tab around 3pm Everyone is so different when it comes to these...

Psychosis/disassociation
Is it possible to differentiate depressive and PTSD psychosis/disassociation? Would the treatment differ anyways? I go back to my pdoc next Friday but I'm just kind of curious. SSRI's, SNRI's have never treated me well. I take a decent dose of Adderall daily for combo ADD and treatment resistant dep...

Re: Non-PTSD Nightmares?
I have been diagnosed with PTSD and have similar nightmares but never are they the same theme as my actual traumas. Considering your diagnosis, I'd imagine your nightmares stem from anxiety/hyper vigilance? For years I never put the puzzle together, but honestly an explanation won't console me durin...

www.crisistextline.org
I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but www.crisistextline.org is a great resource for anyone unmotivated enough to use their voice, get out of bed or do much of anything to help themselves with their mental illnesses. I spent the better half of my morning texting with a counselor and will ...

Re: To take drugs or not to take drugs
Everyone is so different when it comes to meds. SSRI's and SNRI's neither worked terribly well for me, didn't make anything worse but not any better either. Considering you've traveled the other avenues of therapy, I can't imagine it being a bad idea. Worst case scenario is they're not much of a ben...

Welcome! Your story sounds exhausting.. and I totally agree with your running! It's insanely therapeutic and if you haven't already, finding a safe trail or state park to run in is so perfect.

Re: Dissociation following sex
This. Absolutely this. I'm still coming off about a week long exhaustive phase. It's very hard to put back in the little black box until the next trigger blows. What you did is really all I think we can do. Staying grounded and having the correct meds/doses on board. Keeping communication lines open...

Re: Intrusive thoughts
A trigger I had roughly a month ago from someone I see in passing that was bothering me that led to this post, was amplified this morning. Finally, I broke down and emailed a distant friend that works in mental health for some tips. This is what I gathered and has worked well this morning, at least:...
