Well, she definitely grew up exposed to a certain amount of mental illness, given the amount of lies that her parents told her. At the very least it was dysfunctional.

I have a suggestion - are you still in school? If so, can you talk to a school counselor? That may be a less intimidating first step than talking to your parents or other family members.
