A tentative hello
Hi there everyone. My name is Meg. I'm here because I struggle with anxiety, depression, and a myriad of other illnesses and I've been feeling very alone recently after the end of a four year relationship. I'm twenty-one years old. I'm a redhead and an X-Files obsessed sci-fi dork. I'm also a stand-up comedian and a freelance comedy writer. I currently also work a day job helping veterans get their benefits by organizing their files for the VA. It's good to be here.

Welcome Meg, thank you for being here and sharing, we all learn from each other. Wishing you many blessings, Andy
AndyLand ~ It's a nice place to visit, but you won't always want to live there.
Re: A tentative hello
I'm sorry your four year relationship has ended and you are feeling alone. I also have depression and terrible anxiety from feeling so lonely. Your life seems very interesting. But I understand that even if your life seems fine from the outside, we struggle deep inside...and it's hard to share that with your coworkers or friends (unless you have deep trust). I've struggled so many years trying to cover up my depression, etc. so I am so thankful that we can share our vulnerabilities and weaknesses here. Just being your vulnerable self and being honest is slowly eroding away at my facade and I feel more brave being myself in the outside world. It's a very slow step, but it's so freeing to just be yourself.
