Not trying to bum you out, but remember that this forum is not moderated by mental health professionals. If somebody posting here is actively suicidal, the most compassionate thing we can do is block them from the site, because there are much better resources out there than this little site.

But I don't want to get too melodramatic, because I have been suicidal too. It is a part of the world, and it is a part of mental illness.

If you feel like you are going to hurt yourself or others PLEASE call Suicide Prevention at 1-800-273-8255.

If you are still there, and you are willing to call Suicide Prevention at 1-800-273-8255 if you feel suicidal, I can speak to your post...

The answers are No and No, BUT very difficult to make such a decision under the distorted mental processes of depression, and the decision to commit suicide is unlike any other decision, because it is a decision to never be able to make another decision again. Your post has the markers of the extreme negative judgments of a mind under the distortion of depression, I think.

I read your post, and I honor your pain. Nobody deserves a life of meaningless pain. Staying alive would mean a lot more pain. Staying alive would also be a prerequisite for discovering if you are capable of meaning and accomplishment and achievement and honest human relations. Many, including I, would say to stay alive.

I cannot claim to have gone through as much as you. I was at the cross-roads too. Only you can decide if my words mean anything.

Good luck, please take care. Below I have resources to find out about a cool-type-person, who I admire, Ronnie Schiller. All the best to you, is all I can wish for.

The great Ronnie Schiller Johnson! Rough sketch of her life challenges and survival and human flourishing: Raped by step-father, with a massively unfair family justice outcome, and the triumph of an outstanding human being and author. Everything about her is awesome!
