Hi, I'm Panda

Hi! I'm Panda. That's my nickname, anyway.
I'm 29 years old. I married my husband 2.5 years ago. He and I met in the music scene. I had organized a benefit rock show to raise money for a local animal shelter and I booked his band as my headliner. I knew he was the one when my dog - my shy rescue who doesn't like men - warmed up to him. My cat seems to tolerate him most of the time, which is about all one can ask from a cat.
I like to paint, play piano and guitar, sing, write songs, and play video games. I make a living helping adults get their high school diplomas and teaching veterinary technician classes at the college I work at. I've worked with animals small and large for most of my adulthood. I'm now studying psychology and want to empower survivors of abuse and domestic violence.
I'm also a survivor of years of abuse. Physical, emotional, sexual - you name it. It's like I won life's lottery of fucked up shit. I go to therapy every week and I take medication for my anxiety. When I was a teenager, I would have panic attacks often. Now I only have a panic attack once or twice a year. I go to therapy every week and I'm lucky to have a husband and friends who support and love me.
I also identify myself as a witch. My happiest place is in nature. Nature has been an extremely healing force in my life. I enjoy celebrating the full and new moons, the equinoxes and solstices, and reading tarot cards. I don't believe in tarot as a way to divine the future, but more as a meditative tool. For example, when an image brings a feeling or thought to mind, that is an indication that I need to meditate on that. I do readings on myself mostly as it is a self-help tool to me. I also like to collect crystals. I like to feel their energies and they are also beautiful to collect and display.
Anywho, that's me.
