Hi!

The title says it all. A european (Dutch to be exact) guy, mid 20's, like girls, never had a girlfriend... (first 'problem')
Two years ago i had a big accident with my truck(hauling goods on the big open road). A SUV plowed itself into the front of my truck.
A picture says more than a thousand words...

I did not have any injuries, but did have a 'trauma' that evolved into PTSD
Also some stuff that i had already, being lonely, not being able (thinking..) to make contact with people in real life...

That.. I guess i have more stuff. The podcast is just so great, knowing we have Paul and knowing you guys feel the same... this helps..

Btw... English isn't my first language. If my posts don't make any sense... call me out on it.. :)

Welcome to our little forum, J.K.88! I am currently doing EMDR therapy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_moveme ... processing I know it is used quite a bit for PTSD.

Please take care, all the best, cheers, we here are cheering for you and for your greatest today and tomorrow. :D :D :D

That looks like a scary accident. I don't know if they have it over in Europe, but have you tried meetup.com ? In the States it is a great site to meet people with similar interests. They have them in all the major cities here. I suggest that would be a good way to cope with the loneliness. Hope the therapy goes well!

You're welcome. I hope it works out. Yeah therapy can be really draining and it can be a long process, but stick with it. Over time it usually helps most people. I know it has for me. Good luck.

My therapist 'discovered' a light depression in a session. It makes so much more sense.. i could check off more then 5 'symptoms' of the list.
I have a long way to go.. especially because i don't know where i have to start. I'll ask my therapist of course, but i'm the one who has to do it..

That is true that you have to do it but it can be done. Just one step at a time. It takes a lot of work but you can do it : D. You will fall a bunch but just keep moving forward .
