Listening to this right now - SOOOO many moments I identified with about a codependent mom.
The line "you get more critical of me when you go to therapy" is almost verbatim from my mom who told me "not to go too deep into family stuff in therapy because it won't help." It's nice to feel some validation on that for sure.
