So I'm having a really hard time with Leena.
Her note was articulate, moving and heartfelt. And denying that her death was a suicide is in and of itself evidence of the abuse and neglect she was suffering at the hands of her loved ones.
But Paul nailed it, her suicide was a waste. And, in stepping in front of the semi, she turned a random truck driver into a killer, giving him that burden for the rest of his or her life. She didn't need to do that, and I think it does a disservice to transgendered and others who cope with life's struggles every day and decide to stay with us. I'm having a hard time with it.
