Just starting on this one now, but I want to give a big shout out to our friend Brown Blob! - survey at minute 13:30.
It's good to hear from you, even though it's about your anxiety and depression.

I know the feeling about "not having to feel it any more". Anxiety is freaking exhausting!
But staying in bed.... though perhaps not the best thing, always... is an enviable option for a lot of people! ;)

Wishing you well.

So, this episode was interesting.
Didn't quite match my experience since I wasn't raised in that environment, but just lived it for about 5 years after high school.

But now that I think about it, I think I have a mild form of OCD. Remembering the feeling of "needing to pray"- it did seem to border on compulsion.
And excessive self-reflection on one's "sins" can become an obsession...

I have none of the religious component today (had to consciously work for a while to rid myself of it), but OCD isn't foreign to me now.

Hmm...

I liked the envy off as something different.

Just finished her book "Easy Street".

What an engaging read! Humorous, honest, insightful.... A page turner.
Wrestling with her inner "Pure O" turmoil even as she's describing and analyzing it, and being overwhelmed.
All while trying to help a down-on-their-luck mother/daughter couple from the neighborhood, whom she's befriended.

Looking forward to reading "Sin Bravely"....
