I love what Paul said about "I need to feel felt"! So simple, yet when he said it, it was like a OMG, exactly!!!

I'm listening to this episode right now and had to take a break. Whew. I can relate to the fear-based/Jewish details even though I am NOT Jewish. I suppose it's an immigrant thing in general? (My mom wasn't born here.)

Just finished this one on Friday and I was in the grocery store when she started talking about the older woman commenting on her body. "Oh, look at those curves!" I was convinced someone would call the authorities on me I was laughing, smiling and nearly crying all at the same time in a public setting. I heard/hear that SO much from my mom and hearing someone else say it was the first time I realized how icky that made me feel. I always knew I didn't like it, just never put it together that I was uncomfortable!

I related to so much of what she talked about, without the Jewish background - it still resonated strongly!
