I've been feeling a bit worried about you, Beany, but also want to respect your possible need or desire not to post. Just chiming in to say you're missed.

I’m fine. Work was getting ridiculous. Then I went on leave and went away. I tend to post compulsively and the urge to do so evaporated. Often the forum is not enough. That’s not a criticism; just the human condition.

If I don’t post, it’s important that you know, I can manage for myself.

Hi Beany,

Glad to know you're okay, and that you got a break from work. I understand about the forum and posting.

I'm probably a bit compulsive about fearing losing touch with anyone, but that's my issue not yours!

Wishing you well, warmly,

Love to see that waving emoji from Mister Beany

To me it means all is right with the world

I understand what you are saying about the choice to post in the forum, Beany

I wish we all lived on the same street, a lovely cul-de-sac

I think of you, Beany, every time I use that J&J 7-minute workout app you turned us on to... :D

Thank you for that.

So I found an app called Breathing Tree (there’s a few; downloader beware). It basically guides your breathing pattern with a timer and a visual aid, in a square breathing form. I left it open on my screen while working and let my breathing follow out of the corner of my eye.

It worked! I could almost do it without thinking after a time.

Then, after working away for half an hour something, an email, randomly upset me. But I was surprised because it would normally infuriate me. Less oxygenated, I would overreact before I was even aware. Preemptively oxygenated, the same stimuli was just a blip.
