Thank you Tony,
I’m not really suffering in the way you were relating. That’s not to say I don’t recognize the experience. I appreciate you reaching out and sharing.
What I am experiencing is, weirdly, calm. I think the tension circulating at the moment strangely resonates with the chaotic feeling I grew up with in a dysfunctional family.
Calm, or the ease associated with being in a familiar situation. Familiar not comfortable. Watching the dial.

Re: Coronavirus fear - 2020 thread
Hello
Just bringing thread up to the top due to a post this morning from our friend Mental Fairy.
What a long and tough couple of years it's been....
Alas today was anxiety filled. Finally reached out to therapist today and booked appointment. Dealt with my own patients and feel like I could work 24/7 and not help enough. We only just getting outbreaks of covid here 2 years later than most.
Feel overwhelmed. Failing medical system and lack of help.
The only joy I felt today was holding my cat. Amen to the fluff.
I think we should also add in what we are grateful for most of the day we are closing off before the next!
For a bit of support, you might visit the www.reddit.com/r/nursing thread if you haven't already.
I've been reading through it for awhile now, thru the Covid ordeal.
You have my utmost respect.
Wishing you strength.
