Seasonal Affective Disorder
What a difference a day makes!
Yesterday felt pretty good, but today it feels like I have that "lead jacket" on. Can hardly sustain any effort toward the need-to-do and want-to-do things on my list....
Partly due to the gloom and rain. Seems crazy, but it does feel like an actual weight. When the weather's like this and the sun comes out, it's like a curtain lifts almost instantly. Need to get one of those light boxes....
Typing this out actually helps a bit.

Re: Seasonal Affective Disorder
It's rare that I feel as bad as I did yesterday. Curled into a ball on my bed for an hour in the afternoon. When I was up, it felt like moving thru molasses. I guess that was a taste of full blown Big D.
Fortunately today is a lot better. Sun is out and birds are singing which is great. (I'm a bird watcher)
Lists of tasks are a two-edged sword. Gets things out of the head, and makes it easier to prioritize, but can also feel like a ball and chain if they remain undone for too long....

Lists can be overwhelming at times when you realize you will never get it all done.
Glad the birds are perking you up.

This week has been lousy weather wise. Seems crazy, but its a real issue in terms of outlook. Got a bright light box yesterday, will try it...

Day 6! Unrelenting grey skies....
Thought about the Rainy Night in Georgia line - ".....Feels like its raining all over the world....."
And Ray Bradbury's story 'All Summer in a Day', where they're waiting for the sun that comes out for one hour every seven years...
Only positive thing is that somehow this light makes the colors of the azaleas and tulips so very vibrant!
Stop, gaze, and concentrate on the breathing.....

Sun is out today, finally! Against a clear blue sky. Like a different world....

Unrelenting gloom for the last two weeks. Cool, dark and wet. Few bursts of sun are like a different world.
Got a 4 inch square LED light. Started to hold it close to my face in the am with eyes closed. Imagining a sunny day. Seems to work a little.

Gloomy day.
Slight chill in the air.
Time again for my little light!
Electric Sunshine
