Sensing Anger

This week, in the time between therapy sessions, I will practice sensing anger in myself.

I feel it bodily in my racing heart, in my mouth (the angry shape of my mouth, the sudden urge to shout a reply), and in my legs (I want to stand up and tower over people, or I want to run away)

This is part of a whole strategy on anger.

I will write more later about the whole anger strategy

My therapist agreed I can use this when I get angry with myself too.

Hello Manny,

And there are so many things to be angry about these days, all up and down the scale!

From the minor discomforts and annoyances to the cosmic realities

I've been trying to remember that when I'm driving.
People are stressed, tired, and distracted.

(Me too sometimes ! ;) )

Also, I'm trying to let go of my anger at things I hear or read about.
If it can't be put to some constructive use, it only hurts me to hang onto it.
Very difficult to do though, since every day presents new material....

I am trying to sense every time I get angry, and validate it

"it is ok, i am angry, it is ok, i feel angry"

i also feel anger in my body in my eyebrows and forehead

i know i am angry at myself when I curse myself under my breath
