body stances for self-compassion
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[*] butterfly-hug hands on chest
http://www.thestoryelves.com/the-butterfly-hug/
[*] open-arm for acceptance - inviting energy in
[*] when walking, shoulders up straight, chin up
[*] in mirror, smile at myself - this is hard, i may have to prompt a smile by thinking of my daughter and my wife
i have to get self-compassion down first, Super-Choice will have to wait a bit
I am glad this has helped you, Manuel Moe.
And thanks for link: I’ve tried it, supplementing my beloved tai chi.
Feel less depressed.
Was thinking, I am 50 now, and even at 47 I didn't fully comprehend the magnitude of the challenges I lived under because of chemical imbalances in my brain and also my upbringing. I really was "behind the 8-ball" for most of my life, and even now I am still scrambling to meet the challenges of my situation.
No matter how I feel about it, it is still true.
I was very lonely for a large portion of my life, because people could correctly see that I was a ball of self-hatred and an unpredictable, volatile soul not worth investing any time in.
It is a slow, agonizing process to crawl out of that hole.
I took a walk earlier, now would be a good time to practice my body stances for self-compassion.
Everything good starts with self-compassion.
If you are reading this, thanks for listening. The butterfly hug and the arms extended really helped, I even smiled at myself in the mirror.
I am so fortunate I can start today.
I don’t know if it was intended but what you’ve just written MM rings with self-compassion.
doing self-compassion with physical body stances is easier for me than trying to do it mentally.
