building on "felt sense"

I am building on "felt sense" of connection between my little Manuel and me. I have objective evidence of this "felt sense": I am able to be more effective, which means there is less enmeshment between myself and my little Manuel inside me, which means the little Manuel feels secure in the connection.

Some things that take me out of the moment are: <depression>, <anxiety>, <bombardment of tasks>, <fatigue>

when i get taken out of the moment, i lose the intentional connection

this week i would like to do two things:

[1] intentionally do butterfly-hug with the little Manuel inside me

[2] talk to little Manuel about <depression>, <anxiety>, <bombardment of tasks>, <fatigue>, and how these sometimes make it difficult for me to be intentional

in the spirit of experimentation, with no judgement, I will try to do these things

Very good Manuel Moe. Please do keep us updated.

Also, your practice of working/resting proportion saved my bacon today:

For lots of reasons I’ve had brain fog all week, and just couldn’t focus or sit still while working from home.

Remembering the practice you generously shared with us, I inched towards 24 minutes on, 6 minutes off. It definitely helped.

I hope you receive good karma from my experience, which goes directly for your efforts to connect with your inner self.

Fantastic! Did you use a timer?

Yes! I have one app that buzzes my phone every half hour, and then I set the alarm for six minutes. It has really helped.

Like your goals here in this thread, depression and anxiety are very closely related, and we need to open to any idea/habit/plan to mitigate them.

Have either of you read Tiny Habits by BJ Fogg?

I’ve started listening to it. I thought of you.
