Hit with a Depression Stick

I've felt really down this week. Somehow I didn't realize it was depression - I just thought everything in my life sucked all of the sudden. Thankfully, my therapist pointed out it was my depression putting a dark cloud over things. This actually made me feel somewhat better, just knowing there was a reason for how I feel and it won't last forever.

I got the nerve to ask my doctor about upping my anti-depression/anxiety meds today. I've been on the same thing for 10 years now and it's treated me well, but maybe it's time for a change. He wants to try upping my dosage first to see if that helps. If not, we will explore another route. Help is on the way...I just have to hold on.

Good luck, Remarks!

With regards to changing medication, my psychiatrist is halving my dose of Abilify to help me lose weight, so far so good, i think

You guys are the best. I'm still struggling, but getting through it. Upping my meds hasn't done much besides make me a little light headed in the mornings.

I'm glad you're hanging in there, Remarks, but it's frustrating how sometimes medication changes take a while to be effective. I hope the new dosage is going to help and is just taking a while to ramp up in your system.
