Still here

Hey forum friends,
Just wanted to apologize for being MIA for a couple of weeks. I know there aren't any expectations for posts but I always feel bad when I don't at least respond after someone has given a thoughtful reply to my posts.
I feel like I have three jobs right now: my real job, my mom, and my sister.
But I'm strangely okay. I don't know if it will last, but I'm not dreading weekends so much. I actually wish I could take a week off, which is weird because I haven't done that in so many years that I can't even remember the last time. Maybe 2015?

Thank you, Oak and Mental Fairy. I've been reading through posts since yesterday evening as I can. Leaving to pick up prescriptions for my mom, etc. right now.

Her foot got pretty infected, and the first antibiotics she was taking led to a different infection. But she's now finished the replacement antibiotic and is just limping a little bit. The nurses from her doctor's office have been really good about calling to check on her, and she's had one in-person follow up appointment and one online appointment where they looked at her foot on my brother's phone.

Phew! Glad mum is getting on top of it. Amen to antibiotics! Can’t imagine the world without them. Our population would be a lot lower!

We had a bad day with my mom on Wednesday and I thought I was going to lose her. She pulled through but I'm left feeling more shaky than before.
Although I know that weekend mornings tend to be the most difficult, when I'm in the middle of them it can seem like this is the reality of my life, not the times when I feel better.
