sometimes i think about my faults
it feels like so many mistakes, so many moral failings
but a good thing about such a life is that i can have authentic compassion for other people who are struggling

The practice of Ensō, within the Japanese discipline of sumi-e. Imperfection, asymmetry and irregularity is part of being human, and painting a circle like that can be much more profound than one drawn "perfectly" with a compass or a computer.
