Transforming Anxiety into Self-Compassion and Sound Work Processes

Post by manuel_moe_g »

Anxiety about my deficiencies, turns into self hatred. A more self-compassionate and effective approach is to take anxiety about my deficiencies, first center myself, and redirect that energy to sound processes for work. Sound processes for work are not directly connected to external positive results, and that is OK, it is OK that all they can do is increase the probability of having external positive results. We de-couple sound processes from work from an expectation of directly gaining external positive results. In summary, take the energy from anxiety and direct it toward sound processes for work, feeling in our bones that there is no expectation for direct positive external results from these sound processes for work, but that doesn't make those sound processes for work any less important, they are fantastically important and all about self-loving and self-compassion.

I relate Manny, but there are times when I only feel stupid and useless. There is an "outer" more resilient me going through the motions, doing the chores, fixing, maintaining stuff and the grove. The "inner" sensitive me can have everything set up to paint and draw and still come up with nothing... I know forcing things is absurd but I'll still beat myself up about it, I can't love and forgive myself. I'm always starved for emotional, inspirational contact, like I'm still sitting alone in the corner of the playground.

Hello Troebia,

I wish we could sit and share some Absinthe, and maybe channel some inspirational spirits. ;)
