Empowered!!

I had a really bad experience on Monday, and it left me feeling awful until today. When I go out, men I meet have a habit of thinking I'm a whore. And when I tell them otherwise, they get mean. I've just realized that it's NOT me! I thought for the longest time that it was my lot in life to turn the nicest guy in the world into a slobbering, rape-y CREEP. It's not me. It's them. I'm aware that there are genuinely good guys out there, and I will find one. If not, I'd rather be alone.

So anyway, I came up with a little something on my blog "Do My Boobs Make Me Look Stupid?", and I wanted to share it with you guys :) It's not a poem or a song. I just like the verse format instead of prose writing. It's aptly titled "I am not a slut" lol. Enjoy:

"I Am Not a Slut"

I am not a slut
Contrary to what my body may say
I am NOT a slut

You can call me a prude
You can call me a tease
But did you ever consider
That you're just not attractive to me?

I am not a slut!

Buy me a beer
buy me a shot
I didn't ask for it
I thought "thank you" was enough!

Hey asshole...this girl?
Not a slut!

Call me a bitch
Call me a cunt
Can't call me a whore
I didn't give it up!

Douchebags, fucktards, creepers LISTEN UP!!!
I AM NOT A SLUT!

Don't know you
Never met you a day in my life
Why the fuck would I give it up
To some random guy?

My behind must have lied to you when my back was turned , because
I am not a slut.

Keep your hands to yourself
and your dick in your pants.
I'm a fucking lady
You never stood a chance!

(Unless you're on my list of "Free Passes"
I'd give it up for all of their asses.)

Thanks for the drink, but I'm going home now
I guess you'll have to milk another cow

Do I really have to say it again?

I
am NOT
a slut!

by dare i say it
I am in no way an expert on dating or relationships, but my gut tells me that most guys (at least the kind you would want to be with) will respond well to a woman who sets clear limits.

Very exciting! I am feeling empowered too. I didn't even realize that I was afraid of telling people about my depression and now that I have, I feel SO much better! I held so much in and it's nice to know that I can let it out and be accepted. :D I am a bit shy so it's going to take some work, but I know I am headed in the right direction.

I'm so glad that you've come to the right place :)

Speaking about what you're going through really does help, and it's good to have forums like this. There's no judgment; only support.
