I keep having these images where my wrists are bleeding...

Now, I know what that sounds like, but I don't think it's about being suicidal... For one thing, if I were to kill myself, I don't think that's how I'd do it. And in this image I get, it's not that I'm bleeding out onto the floor or anything, it's like, just, a little drop of blood on each wrist. Maybe the shape of a star. My therapist suggested it's because I want people to see the pain that I'm in.

Maybe this should be brought up in your interview (regarding your other post)?

It's not an uncommon thought, believe it or not - when you don't have the words to express to others what's going on in your head, sometimes what they see is the best glimpse.

A lot turn to self-injury for this very reason - they can't articulate the words, to others, what they're struggling with, but if they see the visible cuts, it might say they words they cannot.

I may mention it tomorrow--but I feel pretty chilled about it for the reasons I said, and that my therapist didn't seem particularly alarmed or that it was a warning sign.

I agree with fifthsonata. People turn to it because they can't express or effectively deal with their pain. I understand the images must be really strange and probably disturbing to you, and I think I know where you're coming from. I still occasionally have nightmares where I dream I'm self-harming.
