I know that technically they aren't categorized as a mental illness. But after years of therapy and meds and feeling insane, the doctors are now saying I may have Narcolepsy....
That being said, in the process of being tested for that and Sleep apnea. They think that finally diagnosing it and treating it will regulate so much of the depression, anxiety, weight gain, etc that I've always experienced.
Not sure if this will be the be all and end all of it. I'm kind of self-experimenting right now. And there's no place to share my findings.
I post this to end my point - http://www.ted.com/talks/russell_foster ... p#t-951300
Thought it could help some people.

Re: Forum Suggestion : Sleep Disorders
How about creating a sub thread under the Mental Burden of a Non Mental Health Issue thread? Then you could include the link in your post?

Re: Forum Suggestion : Sleep Disorders
Great suggestion. I put it under Disorders/Medical Conditions as a subforum.

Re: Forum Suggestion : Sleep Disorders
I would say post it under the Sleep Issues thread. I think I created one. My memory is terrible.
