Plants of fancy

Post by Mental Fairy »

Hi family

As you all know I love to garden and I have cleared a lovely space in part of my garden to dedicate to mental health journeys we are all following along together.

I would like it if you all could have a think and let me know what plant or plants you like or consider your favourite and why as I would like to see if I can plant an area dedicated to mental health happy hour.

Sounds a little odd I know! I have set areas in my garden that represents family past. Conifers for my UK family, Camilla for my mum, roses for my nana and forget me nots for my grandad. I have set out a beautiful sunny spot for mental health reflection. Already have three handmade statues I’ve made also. Photos to come.

Not only is this not odd, it is very sweet.

Depending on your climate zone, feel free to plant some peppers or herbs for me.

I like the color and fragrance of Lantana. I've seen large perennial bushes in Mexico, but in cool northern climates, it's planted as an annual

But we could decide on something that the native birds would like too.
Need to poke around these two sites for possibilities.

FYI - Fall is here, and winter is coming. I don't mind the cold, but the gloomy days are a drag. Time for my little electric sunshine box! :happy-sunny: :happy-sunshine:

Oak, the peppers are in. I have a range. Will photo and update. Herbs also.

Lantana is in, we have a white variety currently and I’ve popped in some hostas to add some arty farty look to the space.
Tomorrow I’ll be working on area around to make space for bird bath.

Hot here and soil is dry. Water restrictions I’m guessing will hit soon.
