A free peer to peer mental health support group with both online and face to face meetings. Been around for over 70 years, sort of under the radar. A very supportive group.

Very interested in the online groups, since my work schedule keeps me from most local support groups. anyone care to share personal experience with this group or online support groups? Very curious. I'm not sure about this organisation for me because I don't have an issue with anger.

Hi Nevina:
The online chats are good, and I hear that the phone meetings are also good. In RI there are two primary issues that they deal with, Anger and Fear. I don't have many issues with anger myself, instead I have issues with fear in the form of anxiety, panic and depression (though as you can imagine the line between anger/fear is not that firm). I would encourage you to give it a try, I'm online periodically in the chats as mikeinla.
The process follows the CBT philosophy, though it actually predates CBT, and is credited by one of the founders of CBT as an inspiration. Feel free to ask any other questions, I'd be glad to answer what I can.
