There has been a story
Three decades old
That has yet to reach its glory
And forever be labeled as bold.
Truth has this allegory bruised
Red, black, and blue
For the heroine has been abused
And love for her a path to elude.
Vanishing within and without
This protrayer of a life
Has seeds drenched in drought
And fears protected in strife.
The next three decades lie ahead
Being so unclear or forgiving-
So lastly she cradles the bed
And vanquishes thoughts of living.
