My poem about searching for love

I wrote this a few months ago after a really hard breakup with someone I cared a lot about. It's actually a very hopeful poem, even if I might not feel as optimistic as this all the time.
The sun shines brightly on my face as the search begins anew,
As dawn lights my path upon a journey to find you.
I seek not to comfort a lonely heart or fill an emptiness
But rather to find a kindred soul to share my life in wedded bliss.
I know you are out there, though I do not know your name,
But I feel true love for you, and I know you feel the same.
I wonder, dear friend, what is the color of your eyes?
The tenderness within them will be a wonderful surprise.
What kindness will I see when there is a smile upon your face?
The mischief and joy reflected there that no sadness can replace.
The sound of your laughter is as sweet as an angel's song,
Its melody is a gentle reminder that this is where I belong.
Take comfort in those moments when you feel a longing in your heart,
For the day comes soon when you and I shall never be apart.
With these words I leave you, but in parting from you now
Let me send my thoughts to you with a kiss upon your brow.
For I carry with me the knowledge that as I search for you,
You are somewhere out there and searching for me too.
