poem - scattered

by Werewolf
So many times I shed my skin
that now I'm just a freezing soul
a foreigner to my own kin
a fraction of a broken whole

So many things I left behind
when I got rid of Younger Me
a refugee of my own mind
a stranger to my family

So many bridges I burnt down
when mindlessly I wandered far
a visitor of worlds unknown
a pilgrim on a distant star

I am my shadowboxing foe
a walker on my scattered shards
to every high I am my low
the puzzle of my missing parts.

Wow! Excellent. Thanks for posting this.

Is there a name for this form/meter?
It reminded me of "Invictus" by William Ernest Henley

(He had a few things to deal with, from the short bio on the page).
