Just read this amazing memoir, The Buddha and The Borderline, and would recommend it to anyone who struggles with BPD or even just aspects of BPD (as I do). I found so much to relate to, and reading about her emotions and thought processes helped clarify a lot of things for me. It's also inspired me to finally go out and find a meditation group. This is something I've been meaning to do for years.
Has anyone else read this book? What did you think of it?

Re: The Buddha and The Borderline
I agree. I thought it was a great book. Of all the BPD books I have read, this had the best descriptions of what it feels like. I love when she describes the pain as it feels like you are burning alive. I think I actually yelled "YES!" out loud at that point. I was thinking finally someone gets it and can put it into words. Not sure if you have tried DBT yet, but it was a total game changer for me!

I want to read it now that I've read your post. I've been wanting to visit a Buddhist temple and connect with people there.
