What worked for me, was my graphics card blowing up, igniting all the dust in the ventilation fan, which caused a minor fire in my main pc in the beginning on January. Haven't repaired it yet, using my old 2003 pc for my minimum pc needs, but I've cut at least 20-30 online hours off my week. These last "offline" months have matched some pretty significant progression in my therapy, so there's no doubt in my mind, my previous internet use were at an addiction level.

Last week I was wondering, where I got all the time, I now use on visiting friends, shopping, exercising, cleaning and cooking and I realized, I used to spend it on games, youtube, tv series and artsy stuff(porn).
I am trying to stop buying stuff to manage my mood - it makes my wife so angry. My willpower is improving.
I don't buy a lot of stuff online, but I'm been spending lot of offline time in shopping malls and while I went through a bit of a shopping spree, I've become pretty good at going into a store, looking at all the stuff, I really need(want) to buy and then I actually get a kick from leaving the store without buying anything.

Sorry if I come off as saved.

I hate how it takes me away from living in the moment. Trying to find more balance.
