Gratefulness
Hi Team
I wanted to start a new topic with hope it helps us switch things a little bit when we are struggling.
Hoping this helps us even just a little bit.
Even if it’s just one thing or many, I will start with what I’m grateful for today.
1- my patients whom felt a weight lift off their shoulders when we formulated a pathway back to better health.
2- my yoga mat for holding my back today when I didn’t feel like doing a full yoga session and only used it to practice meditation.
3- the rain, I do love a good rain shower.
4- grateful for all of your support on this forum. You guys rock.
Thank you for taking the time to participate or just read.

Re: Gratefulness
Mental Fairy, thank you for sharing.
I am glad you are grateful for some wonderful moments: professional accomplishment (helping people at their most difficult moment of life), and moments of whimsy (sitting on a stuffed chair in the rain in the dark).
Your post encouraged me: yesterday my face was smooshed into a yoga mat towards the end of Sculpt Yoga: I was discouraged by how far I have to go, physically (and will post about this in my yoga/hamstrings thread). I am glad to know I am not alone, that yoga mats are in such close contact with our bodies. It is unexpectedly intimate.
Please continue to post!

Re: Gratefulness
We are back to horrible storms here and severe flooding and roads are washed out all over the country.
Community is banding together to help each other. We are lucky as our home is on a safe level. But we can’t escape the wind.
However, I’m still grateful.
My list today is an early one:
1, I’m grateful for waking up and not having lost our property or roof.
2, I’m grateful for the miracle we witnessed yesterday of a couple whom have been trying to get pregnant for years, found to be having twins in there scan. The sounds they made when we told them there is two and they are well. Omg, I absolutely love that joy.
3, I’m grateful for my warm winter pyjamas that are way way way to big for me but have what looks like hoof marks all over them. I look like I’ve been trampled by horses all night.

Re: Gratefulness
Today’s grateful list is comprised of some weirdness….
1, I’m grateful for the first recipe I learnt with my niggly nana at age 5. Cheese and bacon roll ups with puff pastry. My husband cooked it today, it’s super basic and makes him feel like a MasterChef!!!!
2, grey overcast winter days with snow on the hill. Reminds me how beautiful the land can be and how much we take the sun for granted.
3, rest days. I do love a day of rest.

This one is sideways....
I'm grateful that my sister-in-law's three week visit is ending tomorrow.
These annual visits are utterly exhausting.
But this one is better -
I'm grateful that I was able to get away last week and be alone to decompress from;
Pressures at work,
Very noisy neighbors,
Relational obligations at home.
Got access to small cabin in the woods, on a beaver pond with zero bars of cell phone for about five days.
Just me, the beavers, and few ducks and birds.
Healing to the soul.

Re: Gratefulness
I’m grateful I know someone who has a cabin next to a lake named after a really cute animal we don’t have!
I’m grateful for the amazing thunderstorm last night that almost blew our eardrums to bits. Nature is amazing.
Did I mention I’m grateful for a person I know whom has access to a cabin in the woods with no cell range!!!
Just checking!

Paddling around in a one-person kayak, close to the water....
(I actually fell in once, trying to disembark).
Went to check the workmanship on the beaver dam. They are real masters of their craft!
And I couldn't help but remove a few clumps from the top rim to let some water spill over....
They repaired it each time by morning!
(And they loudly smacked their tails on the water to show their displeasure with me... )

Nice!
A "Weather Woes" haiku from awhile back
Sun is out today!
Vicissitudes of weather..
Yesterday a dream.
