Inspired by this and Manuel Moe.

My thought is, future goals should bring your current capabilities to life, in the present. In this example, the idea of small children and 80 year olds side by side, engaged in the same activity does that for me.

I can’t name the capability, but I feel more capable with that as one of my future goals.

Yes, to Tokyo a few years ago. I seem to spend time weekly connecting with Japanese culture in one way or another though; food, clothes, paper, stationery, online content, books, films. I don’t really understand why, I just accept it’s happening. There’s a thread of profound sadness, and joy, running through it which moves me deeply.

The capability the goldfish pond goal makes come alive in me is my cultural learning/teaching.

BeanyBoo, #3 feels like pure joy to me and the visual of it makes me happy.

Can you relate to this? Sometimes when something profoundly sad is happening to me, there's a small part of me that is so satisfied, it's banging its knife and fork on the table and saying with satisfaction, "we are living, and feeling".

Yes for sure. A satisfying sadness; that you can show and share, and also hopefully see in others is what I am always aiming for. In a world threatened on all sides by crushing and organized boredom, sadness is a life force; a wellspring.

It’s a moment you want to never end.
