One of "Those Days"?
One of "Those Days"?
One of Those Days
Have you ever had one of those days,
when you are so sad you can hardly breath,
you are so tired that sleep eludes you?
The type of day where you are so sick of it all
that you just want to end it,
but you don’t have the courage,
you want to run away,
but you have no place to go,
you look for a friend,
but all you find is an empty glass?
Do you ever have that type of day?
I do, and was just wondering if I’m alone.
He who has a "why" to live can bear almost any "how" --- Friedrich Nietzsche

I think you are not alone. We all have those days. Or anyone who has felt depression at some shape or form at all have those days. I feel you in the sense that I feel alone right now, and wanting to cry and don't know why. I have an interview tomorrow, and I don't feel like being interviewed. I want the job, just dreading the interview.

One more thing, your post made me think of one of my favorite songs. It is off Foo Fighters new album, and is entitled One of These Days. I guess the song is a different:
But the overall idea (as I see it), is everyone goes through tough times, and sometimes it is easy, and in a sense condescending to say "It will all be alright". Because we might know in the moment what someone is going through. It might not be saying that, but that is how I like to read it, and how I relate to it.
"One of these days the ground will drop out from beneath your feet
One of these days your heart will stop and play its final beat
One of these days the clocks will stop and time won't mean a thing
One of these days their bombs will drop and silence everything
But it's alright
Yeah it's alright
I said it's alright
Easy for you to say
Your heart has never been broken
Your pride has never been stolen
Not yet not yet
One of these days
I bet your heart'll be broken
I bet your pride'll be stolen
I bet I bet I bet I bet
One of these days
One of these days
One of these days your eyes will close and pain will disappear
One of these days you will forget to hope and learn to fear
But it's alright
Yeah it's alright
I said it's alright
Easy for you to say
Your heart has never been broken
Your pride has never been stolen
Not yet not yet

Yes it's alright
Don't say it's alright

Re: One of "Those Days"?
You are not alone, I've had so many of those days. I always have to tell myself that: it is temporary and that I've been here before and I know it doesn't last. But sometimes I don't believe myself and I fold in on myself and shut down. Awful thoughts tear at my brain and I can't sleep to escape them and it seems like there is nothing I can do to distract myself from them. So I end up in bed crying and this is sad but I sort of hug myself because I don't really want to burden anyone else. Thank god I'm skinny and my arms actually fit around my body.
I write a lot so I do this thing where I read what I've written on my good days and it sort of reminds me that it gets better and this is not all that I am. And I also try to justify each time I fall back into that funk as a way of keeping me grounded, It keeps me humble and thankful and compassionate so i don't revert to being selfish or unkind.
I really hoped this helped in some way. Thanks for sharing and keep going! I think you are inspiring.
