Turning 17

I turned 17!!!! YAY Sorry, I'm just happy and this forum and Paul's podcast has helped so so much. I remember turning 16 last year and leaving while the cake was being cut and running to my bathroom. I locked myself in for an hour staring for at the neat row of razorblades and crying because I felt so empty and like I was missing a part of my soul.

And this year, I cut the cake with my friends and family and danced and sang all night. The healing process for me really started when I heard this podcast. Particularly in Nikki Glaser's one where Paul said I have not met a single person who put in the effort and has not gotten better or had their life improved. Sorry if I messed some of the words up but after I heard that this drive kicked in me to get myself and my life back. I needed to hear that, that hope carried me through to this year.

I don't know if words can even describe how much gratitude and love I have for Paul, his podcast and this forum. I stopped victimizing myself and took matters into my own hands. The courage and spirit of everyone in this forum inspired me to not wallow is self pity and victimize myself. The strength and kindness of everyone here is so incredible I would love to learn and I aspire to be like that. I wish everyone the best and I believe everyone here is going to turn out great because such compassion and kindness is so amazing, its what truly matters. And it pulled me back from the deep end. Thank you so much.
