Getting off of Paxil (personal journal)

Post by milk »

I have been on a 10 mg dosage of Paxil daily for about 7 months. I want to start a family in the Next couple of years, so I have decided to get off of Paxil. My doctor instructed me to take my pill every other day, for two weeks, and then every 2 Days for two more weeks.

I am into my first week. The only withdrawal symptom has been a slight vertigo/dizziness that comes and goes quickly. It's not uncomfortable or painful, just funky.

I will continue to update this journal every few days.

Still in my first week. The vertigo feeling is still my only withdrawal symptom. It feels more intense today...But I think that's because I didn't sleep much last night. Overall its been a gentle start. ;)

I've started taking only 2 pills a week. My body is adjusting pretty well to the reduction. No anxiety; sexual side effects are going away. I think it's clear sailing from this point on.
