Introducing...me!
Dear all,
I am brand new to this forum and also a relatively new listener of the podcast. I e-mailed Paul yesterday, reaching out to him, and he suggested I sign up for the boards because it's a lovely, helpful, supportive community.
I am a 26-year-old female graduate student living in the prairies of Canada. My greatest interest is psychology and as such, mental health issues. I also struggle with some myself (i.e., GAD, mild depression, Body Dysmorphic Disorder) but, if we're being honest with ourselves, don't we all? I'm sure a perfectly adjusted human being is as elusive (and suspicious) as the Loch Ness Monster. Ha. That's my attempt at a joke - did I break the ice yet?
Look forward to getting to know some of you and thank-you for having me here!

Welcome! I'm fairly new to the boards as well. Great people with great stories and advice are here though.

Hi lipstickandcallous,
And here I thought we are all perfectly well-adjusted human beings!
Welcome, welcome. You'll see that I responded to your other message. I'm just seeing this one and thought I'd mention that I am also a Canadian prairie girl and fellow graduate student nerd studying psychology. Nice to 'meet' you.
Take care,
~serenity88

Welcome. Congrats on being in grad school, though sometimes it can feel like a dubious blessing.

I feel like we should start a new topic here about the trials and tribulations of the woeful grad student...
